The sea
There is only one ocean, shared by all of us. Deepen your understanding of the ocean by following along from tropical latitudes to Swedish waters, where we encounter the animals living beneath the surface.
We begin our journey in the Pacific Ocean, where a shipment of bath toys fell overboard during a severe storm in the 1990s. Drifting in the world's oceans, they contributed to a decade-long oceanographic experiment that taught us a lot about ocean currents. From there, we follow the Gulf Stream up to the Swedish west coast and our place on Earth. In the Västerhavs Aquarium, we encounter cod, flatfish, spiny dogfish, and the mysterious eel.
